Even though embarking on their maiden European campaign, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Without key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a commanding result that all but guarantees them a place in the Conference League qualifying rounds.
Another victory in their upcoming fixture against Finnish KuPS ought to be sufficient to seal direct passage to the knockout stages, especially after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.

This match provided a chance for several Palace's fringe talent to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning after arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a another, scoring for the second game in succession.

The contest was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past some comically weak challenges before calmly dispatching a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
After the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring with his very first touch, but saw his shot blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then missed a glaring chance, showing there is still scope for development in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise positive night for the visiting side.
